The Bonner Springs/Edwardsville Education Foundation supports several staff recognition and grant programs each school year.
Excellence in Education Award
The Education Foundation awards 20+ Excellence in Education Awards each school year. The Board selects recipients monthly based on peer nominations.
Have you noticed a USD 204 employee going above and beyond? Do you know someone who deserves to be recognized for their hard work? Nominate a peer for the Excellence in Education award! Recipients will be honored at an upcoming USD 204 Board of Education meeting.
Teacher/Classroom Grants
Teacher/Classroom Grants are awarded quarterly up to $1,000. The Education Foundation distributes $16,000+ in grants each school year.
Funding Foundation Grant Guidelines
Judging Criteria:
Your application will be judged against these criteria:
1. Students will be engaged in active learning.
2. The objectives are reasonable and clearly defined.
3. Student activities are described clearly.
4. The evaluation plan is reasonable in scope.
5. The budget reflects the planned activities.
6. The program has the potential for increasing support for public education.
Holiday Grants
The Education Foundation awards each USD 204 school with a building "Holiday Grant" each December to support building needs or initiatives.
